Hey, Reader 🩷 On May 12th, I turned 27. I was thinking how crazy it is how close I am to being 30. But also, how crazy it is being in your 20's.
I mean, it's your very first decade as an adult. And there's a lot of learning and chaos that comes with that! I promise nobody has it all figured out.
In my latest YouTube video, I go over 10 life lessons I've learned in my 20's. But if you're not into videos, I thought I'd go over one lesson that was super difficult for me.
Mistakes = growth
Listen, I hate making mistakes. Especially when they're embarrassing. Every mistake is a learning opportunity, it's up to you if you accept it or miss it.
I remember when I started my first job ever and I was working the front desk. A new job, a new computer system, new people. Anxiety was high. And then... I made an error with a member who was already having a bad day.
Internal meltdown.
But the next day, I was able to see the same member and fix the mistake I made. Things went so much smoother and it ended up with a relieved smile on both of our faces.
I could have let that mistake ruin my day, lost sleep over it, dwelled on it for days...but I knew if I did, what good would it do me?
You gotta embrace the uncomfortableness to rise above. ✨
